This week I attended the ‘Friday Language Exchange’ that takes place every Friday at the Estació de França in Barcelona. I enjoyed very much the experience with two of my English class peers. I found that this is a very good initiative that gives the opportunity to mingle and practice languages with native people.
We met Jay, an American student from New York, with whom we had a chat about his experience of living and studying journalism in Barcelona. I also had the occasion to exchange some sentences with a Russian guy, who seemed to understand me. It was great!
‘Friday Language Exchange’ is free for everybody and takes places from 8 pm each Friday in the same place. When arriving, you are asked about your native tongue and about the language you wish to practice. The receptionist writes this information and your name in a badge you stick onto your clothes.
